Friendly staff and a charming atmosphere define this historic inn. The ensuite rooms offer spacious accommodations, which are a rarity in buildings of this age. the dining experience fell short, particularly with limited menu options and disappointing lasagna that was lacking pasta. The situation escalated when we raised concerns, leading to an uncomfortable confrontation with the owner, which overshadowed our visit.

Perfect for a quiet getaway
I was impressed by this place, especially when they offered me a thermos jug of fresh milk for my coffee instead of those terrible UHT sachets. And the shower? Best I've had in ages, hot and powerful, just what I needed after a long day.
Not exactly budget-friendly, but for what you get, it's still reasonable.

This place nailed the cozy pub vibe with a fantastic range of local beers, particularly strong ales. The food didn't disappoint either. plenty of fresh seafood options. A generous full English breakfast that set the tone for the day ahead. Rooms had thoughtful touches, like a thermos jug of fresh milk instead of those terrible UHT sachets.
Two specific issues stood out during my stay. First, the shower had a broken switch but still functioned, which felt a tad neglected. a proper fix would elevate the experience. while the seating area offered a nice relaxation spot, it could seriously benefit from better lighting for evening reading. The busy County Show week impacted restaurant operations, leading to slower service and limited menu choices, which could be frustrating if you’re after something specific.

A Quaint Retreat with Room for Improvement
The historic charm of our stay captured our hearts, though the small bathroom and limited breakfast hours could be better. We enjoyed a delightful evening walk in nearby Port Isaac, but plan your mornings wisely to fit in breakfast! Consider requesting vegan options in advance.

I had a cozy stay in the Standard Double Room. The bed was comfy, and the room had everything I needed. It had a homey vibe, which was nice. But the shower pressure was a bit low, and the towels felt on the smaller side. Still, the atmosphere in the pub totally made up for it!

the cornish arms is such a lovely spot. we had a nice standard double room, comfy bed and everything we needed. the staff were super friendly and chatty, which made us feel really welcome. plus, the pub vibe is amazin, we enjoyed the local beers and chill atmosphere. location is perfect for exploring port isaac and other nearby beaches!
but the room was a bit basic compared to the pics we saw online. honestly, the shower pressure wasn't great and there were small bath towels which felt kinda cheap.
